Custom options
Please email or call me prior to placing a custom order. It will simplify the production to discuss wood combinations, special requests and availability of materials. It will also help me to determine how quickly we can have your order ready for shipping. Custom orders can take up to 2 months for delivery.
Wood variety
We go out of our way to find distinct pieces of wood to make our nets. The more character the better. All nets start as dimensional lumber, and all work is done in house to shape and create your net. We stock Black Walnut, Mahogany, Maple, Cherry, Ash, and Poplar. We have found that when combined these woods create striking contrasts. When locally available we also incorporate other species into our nets.
Net bags
All of our nets come stock with rubber nets. You can choose either black or clear (if available for your model of choice) without charge. We also have premium woven nylon bags available upon request, and for a nominal fee of $20. The bags are much deeper bottomed and lighter than rubber nets, and yet they are very gentle on the fish. For example the woven nylon net bag on the Taylor and Gunnison nets is 32” deep! Great for landing longer and larger fish like salmon and pike.
Logo
Every Collie Woodcraft net comes with our logo branded on the handle. Two logo options are available: solid or outline. Outline brands work best on lighter woods like maple, cherry, and poplar.
